Capacitor accessories
Developed out of necessity in 2000, continuously developed and continued. Due to a faulty design of the circuit board with conductor traces under a 4-pin high-voltage SnapIn capacitor, the required creepage distances were no longer kept. The layouter had not seen the riveting of the SnapIn claw as a live part in his layout program. Since the circuit boards were already finished and the customer was already in backorder, an insulating washer should be quickly placed between the capacitor and the circuit board so that the creepage distance could be extended accordingly.
We created and delivered them.
Today we can offer a variety of washers for electrolytic capacitors. From pitch 5 to 7.5 to 10mm, as a version for radial electrolytic capacitors, and for SnapIn capacitors as a 2 / 3pin pitch 10 and 4pin version. But not only insulating washers, also electrolytic capacitor holders, spacers and insulating components now complete our range of products.
Many of these plastic parts results from developer problems, which we were able to solve unconventionally and quickly. There is an exciting story behind every Elco supporter.
With the spacers e.g. we bring the electrolytic capacitor defined away from "hot" conductor traces or put other customers SMD components in the space. In another project, a 30 ° spacer provides the electrolytic capacitor with more space in the housing.
The assembly of radial electrolytic capacitors in a horizontal design is not new. However, additional attachment is required if the application is to be exposed to vibrations. Many of our customers still stick the capacitors, or rather the PET insulation sleeve, to the board with aggressive adhesives. It is easier, safer and more long-term stable with our electrolytic holders, which we have for direct soldering (wave soldering) or for clicking into the circuit board. The advantage here is a defined technological and recurring process. We have these capacitor holders for radial capacitors from Ø6.3 to Ø18, as well as for SnapIn aluminum electrolytic capacitors.
Our insulating components are also used in numerous projects. Starting with silicone caps for radial high voltage radial caps, through the double electrical insulation of the aluminum can to thermal shielding (color: white or black), a lot is already available as standard.
